Argentina is a huge country, so the climate varies from region to region. To the northeast, the climate is sub-tropical, whilst the central region is humid and the south the coldest. The best time to visit the country is between March and April and October/November; it's best to avoid the glacial cold that can affect the south, the heatwaves that hit the north and the rainy season. The lovely Buenos Aires is best visited during the Argentinian Spring, which is during the European Autumn, as the weather is pleasant. If you're planning to hike in Patagonia, any time of year will do!

After completing a 15-day South American cruise on********* from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina, we wanted to visit the Iguazu Falls. We selected Evaneos to put together a four-day trip for us. I had used Evaneos in the past and would certainly use them again. Our goal was to visit both the Brazil and the Argentina sides of the Falls. We stayed in a little hotel outside of the town of Iguazu. It was $5.00 for a taxi ride into town--that included a generous tip. There are a number of good restaurants in town that we enjoyed. I would recommend visiting the Brazil side of the Falls on the first and then the Argentina side on the second day with a boat ride at the end of the second day.

We spent three days in Buenos Aires and 5 days in Bariloche, Argentina. We had wonderful weather and a good time with old friends. We have used Evaneos several times in the past with excellent results, but had a little more trouble this time as described above.

Argentina is a great country to visit: so many wonderful sights , friendly people and great food at excellent value prices. The local guides were excellent especially the one we had on the 15k walk in El Chalten : kept the group going at a good pace. The arrangements such as pick ups all worked well with just one minor hiccup with one hotel which gave us a double bed rather than twin beds but was able to rectify the next day.
