1.Iguazú in a nutshell
One of Argentina's most spectacular treasures. The world 'Iguaçu' means 'great waters' in Guarani and you'll quickly understand why. The noise is deafening at Garganta del Diablo. To give you some idea of the flow, imagine 60 million Brits turning all their taps on at once or filling up five Olympic swimming pools.

2. Visiting Iguazú

To make the most of your trip to the Iguazú Falls you'll need a couple of days. On the first day, you can see them from the Argentinian side and on the second, you can cross the border to Brazil to see them from a different angle.On the Argentinian side, you can easily spend an entire day wandering along the paths and admiring the falls from various watchtowers. Even if it's a baking 30°C+, time flies. Fortunately, the mist from the water is refreshingly cool. If you explore the surrounding jungle, you'll spot some amazing wildlife. Birds, monkeys, butterflies, coatis, caymans or even a green snake or two. It makes for a superb day out and you'll be able to feast your eyes. The next day, go to the Iguazú Falls from the Brazilian side. You'll also get another stamp in your passport - one more for the collection! This visit is shorter than the Argentinian side but the views are just as impressive. A path runs along the top of the largest waterfall and disappears into the mist. You'll find yourself in the middle of Garganta del Diablo's thundering cataracts. The noise is deafening and you'll be soaked in minutes, so you'll need to dry yourself off in the sun. Whether it's from the Argentinian or Brazilian side, you'll be amazed.
