Take some time to stroll around in the town and see the beautiful squares, San Martin or Espãna. Find a cosy restaurant and explore Argentina's gastronomic culture. After that, you can take a walk at the very pleasant park San Martin or visit one of the museums. When you are ready, you can embark on a memorable journey and see the Andes.
The Andes routeWhile passing between Mendoza and the Chilean border you will see some exceptional panoramas and staggeringly beautiful scenery. You will see the little village of Potrerillos with its splendid artificial lake. After that comes Uspallata, which is the main village on the road and the last opportunity to fill up with petrol. In Picheuta you can see one of the oldest stone bridges in the country. You will also pass by Puente del Inca which is a completely out-of-the-way tiny village. You will see the Aconcagua peak which is at an altitude of 22 835 ft.making it the highest mountain outside Asia, and the highest point in both the Western and the Southern Hemisphere.
